*This Poem won the Limerick Challenge Week 49 : Satire
With the arrival of the much anticipated letter, leaving it unopened,he rushed to buy the finest attire
Well past the marriage age,he had often endured much satire
Dressed in the best suit and tie
he caught the next plane to Mumbai
Never before had a man walked in with such enthusiasm to a funeral pyre.

Thanks for reading it thrice!! Haha..
I’d usually explain each part as a para per se..but for the rules constraint!
It was fun though, never thought I could compress so much(usually bore you with pages, don’t I? 😛 hopefully the compression doesn’t turn out to be at the expense of the reader’s pleasure!!

Haha Yuhu, never thought about my posts that way until now and you know, this intrigued me and I had to do a quick read of the posts on my blog to confirm if it’s indeed that way and had to go way back to ‘Passionate Eyes’ to get a post which ends on a happy note! Very interesting observation there. Thanks for bringing that up, poetry has always been a reflection of the soul’s musings for me and this is truly an interesting observation that you have made.
Also, thanks for the appreciation 🙂
